Rovers have several advantages over stationary landers: they examine more territory, they can be directed to interesting features,
they can place themselves in sunny positions to weather winter months, and they can advance
the knowledge of how to perform very remote robotic vehicle control.
We are a team of students from Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten, Germany. We focuses on designing and building a rover which can work in Mars for the international rover challenges in Canada. We are the first German team to participate in this competition. The goal of the team, is achieving the best grade in the competition. Moreover, the students will be able to get practical experience related to their studies.
